  Creating an Avi on a Mac

  Hello
  I’m at my wits end with this!
  I’m using After Effects to create quick times.
  But i need to convert to .AVI using dvix or xvid or h.246
  Not the Clinton era Cinepak or Sorenson built into Qt Pro 7.
  so far today I’ve tried:
  WinX Video
  MPEG Streamclip
  ffmpeg
  Sorenson Squeeze

  all above either crash during AVI encode (yes I’ve tried different source vids)
  or are just generally crap.

  Please help!!

  I’m not diving deep on this (I took a quick look at some workarounds in Episode and Squeeze) and then remembered that FFMPEGX – is an FFMPEG GUI front end that does encode to AVI divx and xvid
