  adobe audition 5.5 on my MAC O S X lion

  I am a long time user of Adobe Audition and am now on version 5.5 on my IMAC. I purchased it less than a year ago and now having problems with it. I upgraded to the Lion system this past summer and now notice a ticking on playback of any audio I record. I don’t know if its related to the Apple ugrade or not. But I also use Audacity and Garage band with no ticking or hiss in either one. I thought it was my MAC for the longest time but discovered the problem just this weekend. I would call Adobe Tech support but you have to PAY them for help. Ridiculous as I have spent my fair share of money on their product.
