I shoot XDCAM and transfer the SxS cards to small external USB hard drives, using my MacBook Pro.

Is there any way I can format the USB drives so that a client who uses PC’s to edit can carry the drive with him/her and start editing without having to run it through a Mac first?

    Thanks.

You can use exFAT which is easily accessible by macs and windows as well or you can let pc-users have their own copy of MacDrive and continue to load data onto mac formatted usb drives.
