Anybody ever hear of a set up like this on an Apple? Anybody ever experience it? Now that Adobe Premiere Pro comes with CS5 and later releases I’m sure, it could work. Matrox has always run off of Premiere (or vice versa).

Why even bother with it since FCP comes with the CS bundle right? Well, I would agree. I was just curious if it’s something that would even be worth checking out.

    No.

Premiere runs fine on a Mac, and using a Matrox I/O is quite alright. The Matrox MXO2 works great.

FCStudio (which contains FCP and other applications) is not part of Adobe CS5 or vice versa. Various CS5 bundles have applications that are similar in function to Apple FCStudio apps, but are not the same.

Will all this change now with FCPX? Or… ??? 🙂

Adobe and Apple are different companies with competing products, so I can’t see them ever bundling their products together. Any bundling would most likely happen at the reseller level.

As far as if the Matrox will work with FCP X, that’s anyone’s guess. Apple has not revealed what hardware I/O, if any, will work with it.
