So I make a clone/image disk to an external HD… now when i do experience an HD failure or do a clean upgrade to Leopard lets say, i am on a 4core g5, is it a case of drag and drop or use disk utility to get that disk image on board, haven’t done this before. I must say, the g5 has been an awesome machine to create on!

Use Disk Util! Dragging files and folders wont copy everything.

Method: Open Disk Util. Select disk to clone. Click “New Image” icon at the top menu bar. Easy as that!
