  • How do I search for a character string in Apple Preview

Posted by Alan Lacey on May 4, 2010 at 6:47 pm

I’ve posted this on the FCP forum with no luck.

I’m trying to do a search of the extensive FCP help files and have to search on a character string including the space. The latest one was ‘add edit’

I can only get preview to either seach on the ‘add’ or ‘edit’ and needless to say it comes up with horrendously long lists. Surely there must be a way to input a character string using some sort of delimiters. I’ve tried the obvious ones like quotes, double quotes etc to no avail.

Can anyone help me out here?

    Cheers
