I was having audio problems and couldn’t hear anything so I decided to reboot my iMac but when I did, a no symbol (circle with line through it) appeared and haven’t been able to get it started.

I tried Diskwarrior, repaired it, but nothing, then rebooted, held “T” and was able to mount on my laptop MBP and used disk utility but had no errors. I’m backing up my harddrive now on a firewire drive but I wanted to know if there’s anything I can do before I decide to re-install the OS X.

    Please help, any ideas?
