  Apple Mail database error

  I have just completed a migration of data from my old G5 to my new iMac.
  All is fine except that Mail cannot find the database I copied across.
  It sits forever trying to calculate sizes and then I can’t quit the app without force quitting.
  I have tried to vacuum the database (using freeware VacuumMail) with no success.
  All the account settings are ok.

  Your advice please?
