  dead mac

  My wonderful powerbook g4 17″ computer died a few days ago of a broken hard drive and failing optical drive. I got a discount when I traded in a dead iPod last year but the genus bar person said they don’t have any similar programs for computers. I have to wait a little while before I can afford a replacement 17″ mac book pro and I was wondering if there’s any way to make a little money off my dead mac to put towards the new one? A market for used parts or something? My computer is only 3 years old and in excellent condition. Thanks

  what os is on it, can it be upgraded to run osx 10.5? if so i’m looking for a mac that can do this dead or alive. the only requirement is that when i get it running i can upgrade it to run osx 10.5, also i don’t want to have to pay gigabucks for it . if yours meets this , then tell me what you want for it. russ
