  LaCie d2 quadra demounts randomly

  Hi,

  I have a weird issue with my LaCie d2 Quadra 500GB hard drive. I have the power switch on the back set to automatic so it powers down when my computer goes to sleep. The problem is sometimes it demounts on it’s own and I get the “improper device removal” error. My only concern is losing data or causing any damage. Does anyone know of a solution?

  If it makes a difference, I have it connected to my Mac Pro with FW800.
