    Hi,

recently bought a macbook pro from macmall (not the latest release). Upon receiving I fired up the OS with no problem, logged in to check apple site for updates. There were quite a few obviously, so I let it sit and download for awhile. It turned out basic OS updates were nearly 600mb total. The problem is I can’t seem to get the computer to finish the update. It seems to have successfully download everything, but then on restart, it gets to the update installation progress bar, goes about 15% in and then just hangs.

This is a brand new computer barely two weeks old and hardly any true work hours. Any advice on how to get the update installation to complete successfully??

Sounds like the update didn’t download right. Try manualy downloading the installer from apples website and use that to run the update.
