I have an external USB Blu-ray drive. It reads other media fine, but the Mac does not recognize the Blu-ray media. I am running OSX 10.4.11. The data is in the QuickTime HDV format. The media reads fine on a PC.
Any suggestions as to how I can read these files on a MAC?

    Thanks

    Bill

    What model drive?
Have you installed drivers for it?

The drive is a LiteOn DX-401S. It works fine with normal DVD media. I have not found any drivers for it. I understand I may need UDF capability to read the Bluray discs.

OS X itself does not have support for BlueRay Drives as far as I know. There for drivers from the manufacturer of the drive will be needed to use the blueray functions, otherwise the computer will only see and use it as a regulaer DVD rom drive.

By doing a quick search it looks like your drive is ONLY fully compatible with windows.
