  error code -36

  I recently backed up all of my data to a lacie external drive, performed a clean reinstall of mac OSX 10.5, and attempted to copy my data back to this platform.

  Whenever I try to copy the data I get the error: The Finder cannot complete the operation because some data in “Filename” could not be read or written. (Error code -36)

  Is this an OSX permissions problem? I can read any of these files, but I can’t copy them.

  Please let me know if anyone has a way for me to get my data back!
