    Dear Creative Cow

My new LaCie HD 1TB has lost the ability to dock to my Mac Book Pro or to any other Computer. The other day a message showed up saying that the latest back up for Time machine had failed. Next and by accident the USB cord was pulled out before the HD could be properly ejected. Now the HD won’t dock and is visable in disk utility. However, the repair disk permissions are grey and the repair option only results in:
    Verifying volume “LaCie”
    Checking HFS Plus volume.
    Checking Extents Overflow file.
    Checking Catalog file.
    Invalid node structur
The volume LaCie needs to be repaired.

    Volume check failed.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit (-9972)

    1 volume checked
    0 HFS volumes verified
    1 volume failed verification

I have a major FCP project stored on this HD retrieving all of the info off of this drive is absolutely critical.

I really hope someone can help.

    Thanks

    Rory.
