  Macbook Pro -stuck on blue screen at startup

  i had my startup disk locked in system preferences which I’ve done before. This time I went to unlock it and the usual window for my password did not pop up. I restarted the computer and this is what I’m getting: 1.the grey screen 2. then the blue screen with the grey spinning ball 3. then the blue screen without the grey spinning ball, then back again to #2. It almost seems like the computer is about to start, and then it stops. I hope this is just a really stupid mistake and nothing serious.
  Did I lock myself out of my own computer?

  Sounds like your OS is messed up. Do an archive and install of the OS or make an appointment at your local apple store and let them look at it.

  There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
  Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!
