I want to reinstall osx because of internet problems. I have a Power Mac G5 with a Disk 2 can I take all my files on the desktop and save them to the disk two and everything be fine? I have never had to do this before and are there other files in the application fold that I should save, and docs as well?

    Thanks

Umm what is your internet issue, reinstalling the OS may not fix it if it is settings etc.

There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!

My internet was fine on Friday 2 weeks ago, I came back from visiting the in-laws and now it is really slow to load pages. I have cable internet and my imac is fine and my wife’s pc is fine (they run on wireless) I have my G5 hardwired and it’s slow as can be. I have thought about trying to buy a new card. But cash is tight. Just trying to fix it my self. Called the apple store and they said I did everything they could think of except reinstall the OS. Don’t really want to do that.
