I want to stripe two 1TB drives together into a raid 0 — for video media.
But i also want to partition the drives into four 500GB partitions.
    Do I raid 1st or stripe 1st?
Do I stripe the four 500 GB partitions together into one raid 0?
Or do I stripe in pairs?

    Thank you!

You will gain absolutely nothing by doing that, in-fact I am not even sure it will even let you do that. If you want 4×500 partitions, just partition each drive in half.

Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!

i would even think it would be slower than just 2 solid drives raided together. theres only one guy writing in the drive and you are going to make him run all over the place. typically you group your raid set first then you group your multiple raid sets together. group your cows and then add them to your other set of cows..
