  Disk Utility weirdness

  On a 2 x2.66 Dual Core Xeon with 4 gigs RAM, permissions repair returned this message:

  Underlying task reported failure on exit

  I quit immediately. What’s wrong?

  First try booting from your install disk and running a repair on the drive, if that does not you will have to back up your data, erase the drive and reinstall the OS.
