  access point

  I’ve been using an access point to connect my G4 iMac to a wireless router. But recently my roommate changed the router out. Now I can’t figure out how to connect the access point and my computer to the wireless signal from the new router.

  Am I supposed to use TCP/IP, PPPoE, or Ethernet in my network settings? What information should I type in?

  What do you mean my access point?

  I have never seen the need of anything other then a computer with a wireless card and a wireless router.

  Wireless routers are sometimes referred to as access points, but i see no reason you would need to connect a wireless router to another wireless router.

  You need to be more specific about what you are using before anyone can give any helpful hints.

  Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!
