  • Second boot drive ?

Posted by Lars Beyer on September 24, 2007 at 5:39 pm

    Hi.
I tried to create a secondary boot drive ( External FW 800)
Problem was my system recognised only the latest drive installed.
What are the procedures for creating and switching between
two different bootdrives on the same system without hassle ?
Is there any information on this subject
    on Apples website ?

    Regards
    Lars Beyer

Ps. I would like to have two Boot drives for both my macs.

Have: Mac Pro quad 2.5. OS X 10.4.10 FCS 2.
    Mac G5 dual 1.8. OS X 10.4.10

To create the second boot drive, simply boot from your install disk and select the drive you want to install onto.

To choose which drive you want to boot from that is not set as your primary boot drive, simply hold down the option key when you turn the computer on and then select the drive you wish to boot from.
