Hi folks, a friend of mine is trying to edit footage he shot on his Canon DC220 DVD camcorder on his mac. However, the native iMovie HD software doesn’t seem to support this capability, which is kinda surprising considering the popularity of such cameras.

Is anyone aware of any consumer video editing software (he’s not a techie) that will allow editing MPEG2 VOB files without re-encoding (except at the edits, of course). While there’s a fair number of PC consumer editors that will do this, I’ve yet to see one on the mac side. Thanks.
