  Restart Message

  On the last several start ups of my G5 I have been prompted at some point during my use to restart the computer. The screen turns gray and a message appears in the screens center stating that I need to restart the computer by holding down the power button. I haven

  Sounds like a kernal panic, have you changed any thing on the computer lately. Added any new peaces of hardware, or software.

  Kernal Panics are hard to diagnose I would sign up for an apointment at the genius bar at your closest apple store and let them take a look.

  Go to your console and see if there is a panic log in the list of log files, if so then post back the log and it may be clear what your particular issue is.
