  airport extreme installation

  I just bought an airport extreme card. I have a PowerPC G4 1.24 ghz dual processor. From everything I could find online, my computer is airport extreme compatible (it is the FW 800 version of the G4, which according to Apple is airport extreme compatible). I installed the card and the software and when I turn on the computer it will power up to a blank screen and the fan will start blowing loudly. When I take the card out, the computer starts up fine. I have read of this problem happening, but have not seen a solution. Does anybody have any suggestions?

  My guess is its a bad card
