    Hello,

I am posting this for a friend that owns a G5 and his computer has been giving the following message when he tries to shut down the mac:

“You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button for severel seconds or press the restart button…”

He is running OS X 10.4 and this is the config of the machine:
    Power Mac G5
    Machine Model: PowerMac7,2
    CPU Type: PowerPC 970 (2.2)
    Number Of CPUs: 2
    CPU Speed: 2 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
    Memory: 1 GB
    Bus Speed: 1 GHz
    Boot ROM Version: 5.1.4f0

Please let me know if I need to supply a list of installed programs, or any other information that could help us solve the problem.

    Any help is really appreciated.

    kind regards
    renato
