“Refreshing” the Network in Finder…
Greetings all:
Just wondering: is there any way to tell Finder to “refresh” the Network? It seems when I log into my network (at the office or at home), it takes an INSANELY long time for it to show up on the network. It’s strange. Sometimes it pops right on, other times I have to wait. Sometimes I can see the G5 from the iBook, sometimes I have to wait.
Again, wondering if there’s any way to force OSX to update the network.
I’m using an Airport extreme at the office, and an Airport Express at home, all Macs and one Windows machine.

Sorry, folks…it’s been a LONG week. I just re-read my last post, and I think I need to clarify.
The problem is when I take my iBook (or in some cases my iMac) from one network to another. When I log in to either network with the iBook, for instance, it connects to the Airport with no problems (i.e., I can get on the internet). However, sometimes I have to wait a while before other machines on the network start popping up in the Finder, or before the other machines can see the iBook. All machines are running 10.4.2.
