I have lots of QT ref movies made from imported image sequences.
many of them will not open after an update to Tiger and QT7. Any ideas why?
once i remake them all is well….though a massive pain.

    thnx,

Did you try repairing your permissions using Disk Utility?

Did you upgrade to QuickTime 7 Pro? Have you tried deleting the FCP preferences and caches? A likely problem is that the original media has been moved, renamed or deleted. Try a search in the FCP forum to see if anyone else is having a similar problem. My systems don’t seem to have that problem, so I don’t think it directly has to do with QT 7, FCP 5, or Tiger.

    >>Did you upgrade to QuickTime 7 Pro?
it seems to be automatcally pro in the fcp 5 (says pro)
    >>Have you tried deleting the FCP preferences and caches?
ya – but this is at the desktop level. Ref movies made in QT. import image seq then save as ref (2-3K movies). most were made in QT 6.5.1.

Though in this case all is very carefully organized and has not been moved or renamed.
    >>Try a search in the FCP forum to see if anyone else is having a similar problem.
will do – but so far i am rebulding them all.

tis a wierd one – let me know if you think of anything else.

    cheers,
