I bought a DVR-109 to replace a toasted DVR-105 on a G4 466 Digi audio with Mac OSX 10.3.9 and I’m having issues with Apple apps seeing it. The drive is mint with Toast 6.0.9 and I can burn no problem but in DVD Studio Pro or iTunes or whatever it doesn’t work…It says ‘Disk burner or software not found’.

Any idea where I can get a driver? Will this setup work in Tiger?

    Thanks

There’s a freeware program called PatchBurn that may work. Don’t have the link but you can “Google” it or look for it on VersionTracker.

I installed a Pioneer 108 on my Dual800 and PatchBurn allowed iDVD to see and burn to it.

The latest 2.7 and 2.3 GHz Mac Towers are coming with the Pioneer A09 built in as the Superdrive, so I would bet that Tiger is supporting it.
