  Dual 2.7 G5 and OSX 10.3.9

  Hi,

  Anyone has problem using the SuperDrive on a dual 2.7Ghz G5 under OSX 10.3.9 ?

  I have a OSX 10.3.9 bootable drive and it boots fine but when I insert a blank CD to burn some files, it ejected the disc immediately.

  Is there a driver update required ?

  Apple and Applecare only support the new OS that the machine shipped with (it did ship with 10.4 right?). It may boot, but things like the optical drive won’t work and there is a warning out there that the fans and cooling system won’t work properly.
