I have an old powerbook G4 that has a damage screen. The drive seems to be fine and I can hook up an external monitor and work from there. What I really want to do is transfer all the data onto my desktop G3. I know in the past, I’ve hooked up 2 computers together with 1 as the target drive. Restart and hold down the cmd+T buttons. But for some reason, it’s not working now.

Either the g4 and g3 won’t play nice together or I’m forgetting a step in my procedure or order thereof. Can someone please help clear my brain?

    Thanks,
    Suz

    Just the “T”

Your memory has added an extra key to the step. It’s even easier than you thought!
