This is my THIRD TIME POSTING this question. Response appreciated
Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong. I created a 3D image in Photoshop CS5 using repousse. I saved this file as a psd. When I import it into After Effects CS5 as a composition with the 3D effects box selected, it imports it. However, there is not the camera layer that should be included to keyframe the camera on my 3D file. The various tutorials I have seen all show how to accomplish what I am doing but they all have the camera layer included.
What am I doing wrong to not have that layer???
I simply want to have my 3D logo have some slight movement. Should be easy and it is really annoying that I can’t figure out how

have you tried to add a camera to the comp (layer>new>camera)?
also, i’m not sure you’ll be able to manipulate the lights, nor add ae lights that will work with the 3d psd object. at least i can’t in cs4…

When you import the PSD, make sure you are importing it as a single item (not a Photoshop sequence), make sure you are importing it as a composition (not as footage), and make sure the “Live Photoshop 3D” box is checked:

Not cranky. Just trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. I use Creative Cow normally but for some reason wasn’t getting any response when I posted my question. I figured if I changed my subject, perhaps it would draw enough curiosity to draw the appropriate attention and bring aid.

Kind of . . .
The 3D image that I made in Photoshop was a 3 layer image. I have a TV, the letter “w,” and title below this. I had to create each element as a separate layer. When importing this 3 layer comp into AE, it no longer has the camera that it did before. If I try to import just one layer at a time, I have the camera but it is real difficult to keyframe the movements correctly since it has the “w” inside the TV.
