Im having trouble getting quality resolution using the UV texture mapping effect in After Effects. Instead of looking like clean 16 bit images, it comes out looking like an 8-bit Nintendo game. I noticed that the tutorial Revision FX supplies, which looks good, is in an extremely low resolution. Is it possible to use this effect well in high res?

Usually when someone has this problem it’s because either:
    1) The UV map was not rendered at at least 16 bpc
    or
    2) Their AE project is at 8 bpc

If not that, send a UV map to techsupport at revisionfx.com

Thanks for the solution! Let me write out the problem again, so that someone may be able to find this easier in a search:

If you are getting pixelated, low resolution textures using RE:Map or YY_UVmapper in After Effects, make sure to render your UV map in 16bit and set your AE project higher than 8bit.
