  • CS5 Setting Output Module Directory Paths Simultaneously

Just upgraded to CS5 from CS3.

In the Render Queue, I used to be able to “shift select” multiple output modules of multiple render outputs and set the output directory for all to the same directory. Now it seems that I have to set every output module’s directory individually. This is a real pain-in-the-arse and a step backwards from my old workflow.

    Help! Am I missing something?

Thanks for the insight and that’ll take some getting used to.

It was nice to have 30 renders in the queue (with custom timespans), set them all to one output template going into a “final renders” folder, add another output module to each render, set them to h.264’s going into the “previews” folder, and let her rip.

I hate when a feature so simple (and useful) gets removed for no apparent reason.

Sounds like they gimped the render queue with CS5. I hope they patch it back in.
