Does anyone have any suggestions on how to dial back the sharpness “in camera”?
We generally shoot c-log 3 with Cinema Gamut, however, often times skin tones still appear way too sharp. Even with our soft lighting. Usually our kino flo’s, diffused, as our key light.

Anyone recommend those Pro Mist filters? My fear there is too soft, even with a lowest filter.
All our lenses are Canon L series zooms and primes, so either screw on’s or matte box 4×4.

We can generally soften skin in post, but it would be nice to get this in camera, especially when going for a more film look. Or even for our talking head interviews.

in AE, find edges as alpha matte for smart/fast blur works really good for blurring sharpness. can you test the filters and compare? some aren’t that strong.
