  Canon XA20 my next cam?

  I’ve used a Canon GL2 with Canon MA-300 adapter for audio for several years now. But I’m considering upgrading. My set up is this:

  I film at a white board using a wireless lapel.
  My camera is stationary on a tripod.
  I use studio lights for lighting.
  I edit in Final Cut Pro (Final Cut 7, Compressor 4, DVD Studio Pro for DVD) NOTE: I’m considering upgrading to Final Cut 10…

  Would a Canon XA20 be my next best camera for my set up?

  I’m looking to improve the video quality.

  I’m not interested in learning a whole new set up for uploading and editing in Final cut but would mind learning a few new things.

  I know nothing about anything other than just how to do it on my current set up…I’m a computer ding dong.

  Minimal edits are needed. Cut, splice, and add Text and Fade In/Out transitions between cuts.

  If Canon XA20 isn’t the best next step up…what would you recommend?
