    Hi,

I know this has been asked a lot but I would like some advice for my specific use.

I just received the Canon XF100 and have several bodybuilding contests to record in the next few months. So imagine tanned men and women posing on a brightly lit stage! Lots of slow panning and zooming.

We produce DVDs, sometimes Blu-ray if sales will support the effort and digital downloads. Currently supplying H264 progressive clips in SD and now in HD with the XF100 footage.

Should I be shooting 60i or 30p for optimal downscaling to DVD (we are very small and this is what our customers still want) and for good quality H264 progressive online video downloads?

24p not really considered as this is not cinematic stuff and doesn’t really need a filmic look. It is more about brightness and clarity and clean movement.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.
