  Canon XA10 audio input level

  Hello

  Does anyone know why my XLR mics sometimes distort even though the input level is not even near -10?

  Does the waveform of the resulting audio look clipped, but at a lower volume?

  What offboard mics are you using? Sounds like the diaphragms may be overloading.
