    Hi Guys,

I just returned from the Amazon in Peru, yes I survived the Amazon. The humidity was very high with condensation which did a number on my Canon GL2 Camcorder. I didn’t know what to do. The GL2 worked fine in the air conditioned room but, as soon as I walked outside in the humidity, the GL2 would not work. It stated “to high humidity”. My Canon 40D fogged up for awhile then it was ok. I couldn’t record any footage in the amazon until we left it for Cusco, Peru. Now I have water between the lens of the GL2. I’m glad it was the GL2 instead of a new HD camcorder. Any suggestions on what to do for the future.
    Thanks
    Happy Travels

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the answer. I think it’s time for a new camcorder, any suggestions?

Are you still in the market for Canon? Also, if you can get the unit inspected and repaired and then SOLD, that would be another viable option for you.
