Hello, (cross posted in compression techniques)

i am shooting a video project on the 5D and just found out that we need to deliver to dv. is there any reason not to transcode not straight to dv? Sseems like a simple issue, but i’ve never done such a drastic transcoding and just want a heads up on any issues that might bring on.

    thanks a bunch

Try Premiere Pro CS5, but, You can shoot MOV (Video H.264) @640 x 480 (SD) from the 5D Mark II ,but, what a waste of quality from this camera ?

thanks for the response…i totally agree. We were apart of the film races, the create a movie in 24 hours flat and I don’t know if its just brooklyn, but they don’t accept any HD footage and want everything in DV.
