  Thinking of buying a 5DMk2 but wondering how close we are to the next big update… is anything known? Hate to buy and have a MkIII that solves all the bugs and adds all the best new features come out the following week. 🙂

  No idea, but, what else could you want except a zoom motor in the lens and then you would have a camcorder.

  Our video out of Tibet/China a month ago was sensational and edited very well in Premiere Pro,I don’t think you will get a 35mm sensor in a camcorder any time soon, but, who knows.

  We have been using this camera for over 12 months and frankly the stills are superb too, for fashion , art etc

  If you don’t want to spend a lot of money try the Canon HV 40, we use it to transfer as a VTR from the 5D Mark II in High Definition Tape to check quality on a Sony 46″ HD TV on the HDMI Input and we lose little in quality .
