  copying to hard drive

  How come transfer from a CF card to my desktop is so slow? It’s literally taking hours to transfer less than a hour’s worth of recording. Is this normal? Do I have an old card reader?

  I’m using a USB card reader and have it plugged into my MBP.

  maybe your reader is usb 1.0 and not 2.0?
