  HD Canon 7D footage

  I just received a bunch of Canon 7D video footage that my client wants me to cut into a video that I’m editing on Final Cut. In QuickTime the Canon 7D clips play back very jerky and Final Cut doesn’t like it at all. Do I need a 7D codex or plug-in for it to work in Final Cut Pro? Please advise.

  I convert all my 7D footage (which is H.264 codec out of the camera) to either Apple ProRes, or XDCAM EX using compressor. Plays beautifully, and edits like a dream!
