    I have a Canon HF 20. Burned a DVD of video and pics. on a Windows 7 computer using software provided with camera . DVD plays fine on Windows 7 computer but other computer with VISTA or stand alone DVD players will not recognize the DVD. Help…….

    Did you possibly burn some form of data DVD and not a true encoded video DVD? There’s a big difference.

    What software did you use?

    I’m not very sophisticated in this area. I burned a Memorex DVD+R DL, the run of the mill kind from Office Depot and used the software that came with the camera, Pixela ImageMixer.

    Someone else suggested I should convert my .mts files to an authored DVD format with AVStoDVD, then burn the results to DVD with Imgburn. Does that make sense to you?

    Is all this avoided if you hook the camera up to a TV, play the video and burn directly to a DVD player rather than going through a computer? Is uploading to a computer, then burning to DVD what complicates this whole thing?
