  My Canon HV20a will not be recognized on Final Cut Pro 6.0!

  I am shooting a workout instructional video with 2 cameras and one of them, the Canon HV20a, will not log and capture. I tried 2 different firewire cables, cleaned all cables and sockets with a toothbrush, have already tried to delete preferences on Final Cut Pro 6.0 and have changed multiple settings suggested by a bunch of people, still with no luck. Even imovie wont read my camera. I have a contractual deadline coming up and do not want to freak out the people paying me.

  I thought putting my tapes in another HDV camera would work but I literally cannot find a single person that has one I can borrow.

  I haven’t received any successful advice online yet, SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
