  Canon 5D – HDMI converted to SDI – No Monitor image when recording..?

  Hello Canon users,

  I have a 5D Mark 2 attached to a Marshall SDI monitor via a Blackmagic HDMI to SDI converter.
  All this works fine. I have a great HD image on the monitor except when I press record and the image disappears..

  If I disconnect the mini HDMI cable the image is on the back of the 5D, as it should be.

  Any ideas why this is?
