  GL-2 not picking up mic audio- NEED HELP!

  Hi Guys!

  I just bought the MA-300 XLR adapter box to connect a mic, but it’s not picking up any audio! I’ve attached a sennheiser mic to the XLR input. I’m trying to play with the settings. Under the VCR menu the mic option is muted purple so I can’t adjust it. It’s always looked like that. I don’t understand!

  Please help- I’m in desperate need to get external audio. Thanks so much in advance.

  Janelle,

  I don’t have my GL2 or the manual available at the moment (lent it out) but there’s a thumb wheel on the back of the camera so you can change shooting modes. Change it to “manual” mode and the hot shoe for the MA300 should activate.
