  Canon VIXIA HV30 HDV Camcorder

  So I’m trying to import a wedding that was shot in HD on the Canon VIXIA HV30 into Final Cut Pro. I connected the camera to the computer through firewire and when I open up Final Cut, I got the External A/V warning. It states…

  Unable to locate the following external devices:

  DVCPRO HD (1080i50) (1920×1080)
  DVCPRO HD Out

  Your system configuration may have changed, or your deck/camera may be
  disconnected or turned off.

  My camera was not disconnected or turned off. I then went into Easy Setup and worked in there and that didn’t work. Under the View tab I refreshed the A/V Devices because the camera wasn’t listed under the Video Playback tab in the View Tab. That didn’t work either.

  Does anyone have any idea why this could be happening and how I can import this wedding into my computer?
