HG10 not recognized by Windows, any advice?
I borrowed a buddy’s HG10 camcorder for a shoot as a roving cam, but can’t seem to get the footage off. I’ve tried it on 6 different Windows boxes, all with USB 2.0 ports. And all of them say the USB device is not recognized. I’ve searched the Canon site and googled around, but everything I’ve found says the device driver is built into XP. My friend says it works fine for him, so worst case scenario I can ask him to offload the footage.
In the mean time, I’d like to solve this problem, though. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any suggestions?
