  Canon FS100A file type/dvd burning

  Hi

  My brother in Canada has contacted me with problem he has with his Canon FS100A. I have been trying to find out more about his camera over here in the UK but have found information really sketchy.

  In basic terms he says he can view video taken on the device both on his camera and playback the video on his PC via the supplied software, but he can’t seem to make any of the DVD authoring software he has recognise the file type.

  Before I get him to snailmail one of his SD cards over to me, can anyone give me any guidance on what the actual file type the video gets recorded in, any useful tips and what software would be suitable for dvd production so that I can get him going.
