  • Make movie in Vegas, save as MTS and put back on Canon HG-10 camera?

Hey all – my Canon HG-10 saves video files as MTS. One way to get them off the camera is using the software that came with it, which does nothing more than move them to your PC hard drive. But it also does the reverse – moves them back to the camera – only MTS files.

The camera is effectively an HD player. So if there’s an HDTV nearby and I have my cables, I can play my recordings for friends.

So I use Sony Vegas to make and edit movies.

What I want to do is move my final, finished movie back onto the camera. I presume this would mean it would need to be saved as an MTS file in Vegas which I haven’t figured out.

This seems like it should be simple. Any ideas?

I had the same idea at one time and tried to save back edited MTS files to the HG10, but it did not work.
Can anyone figure out how to do it? Would be nice. Thanks JK
