  No right channel

  Newbie here with an HF100. Connnected an audio-technica ATR35s wired lav mic, but my recordings only have left channel.

  When mic is connected to PC, only get left channel again, even though mic settings in PC show balance halfway between L & R.

  What is the trick to getting mono signal to both channels?

  The mic input on most consumer devices is a “stereo” jack with a “Tip-Ring-Sleeve” connection.

  If you want to place the mono signal (Plug would be only “Tip-Sleeve”) onto both channels, you need to plug your mic’s output into a “mono-to-stereo” adapter plug.
